Toronto’s Breakthrough Entertainment has bolstered its executive ranks with the hire of a former employee, Suzanne Wilson, who rejoins the company as VP, family entertainment.
Wilson previously served as Breakthrough’s senior administrator, business affairs from 2010 to 2013, before she joined TVO as an acquisitions officer for children’s content. She was also part of the team that developed and launched Centennial College’s Children’s Media post-graduate program.
Wilson will report Joan Lambur, EVP of family entertainment and executive producer.
In September, Breakthrough hired veteran distribution exec Caroline Tyre as its senior director, international sales and acquisitions, as the company looks to ramp up its distribution efforts in a number of areas, including in factual and children’s content.
