Women in Film & Television – Toronto (WIFT-T) has named Alona Metzer as the 2016 recipient of its Deluxe Producer Internship.

The program aims to provide post-production experience and industry mentorship to a female producer with two to five years experience.

The three-week intensive program, which kicks off on Oct. 31, will take place at Deluxe Toronto’s Liberty Village facility. Throughout the internship, Metzer will receive training on post-production planning, budgeting, dailies, picture and sound completion, VFX and distribution.

Toronto-based Metzer recently produced and starred in the short film Mariner, which had its world premiere at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival. She’s currently in production on the short Eros, and in development on another short film, Stranger.
