Force Four Entertainment has inked a deal with ITV Studios Global Entertainment for the rights to the new Channel 4 UK fixed-rig reality series The Job Interview.
Created and produced in the U.K. by ITV Studios producer Label1, The Job Interview follows a pair of employers per episode as they interview prospective employees for any number of jobs — anything from vehicle leasing to public relations to veterinarians. Its U.K. premiere on Channel 4 in was watched by 1.5 million people. There’s no Canadian broadcaster yet confirmed for the format.
“When we heard about [The Job Interview], we got excited to build on our experience with the hyperreal fixed-rig technology,” said John Ritchie, chief creative officer of Force Four Entertainment, in a statement.
The Job Interview isn’t the first reality series Force Four has nabbed that features fixed-rig tech. It previously secured the rights to fixed-rig reality series, First Dates. Corus Entertainment’s Slice channel greenlit First Dates for a second season in March.
Force Four’s unscripted production slate also includes Border Security: Canada’s Front Line, Border Security: America’s Front Line, Keeping Canada Alive and Tricked. The TV prodco was acquired by Entertainment One in 2014.
