HGTV U.S. picks up more Flip

The U.S. cable network has renewed hit Canadian factual series Masters of Flip.

U.S. cable network HGTV has renewed Masters of Flip for a second season. The home renovation series is produced by Toronto’s Rhino Content and distributed by Corus.

The series follows husband-and-wife team Dave and Kortney Wilson as they restore dilapidated homes in Nashville, TN in an attempt to turn a profit. According to HGTV, more than 12 million viewers tuned in for season one.

Season two is set to premiere in October in the U.S.  In Canada, the second season is currently underway on Corus Entertainment’s W Network.

Scripps Networks Interactive took U.S. broadcast rights to season one of the series last October. In April, Corus announced that season one of the series was picked up by Discovery Channel in Norway and lifestyle channel Life Inspired in Asia (which is available in Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei), while season two was picked up by Australia’s Nine Entertainment.
