Production is underway in Kamloops, B.C. on crime drama Juggernaut from writer/director Daniel DiMarco.
The film is produced by Matthew Cervi’s Mad Samurai Productions (The Colony) and stars Jack Kesy (Shut In), Amanda Crew (Silicon Valley), David Cubitt (Medium), Stephen McHattie (Pontypool) and Peter McRobbie (Bridge of Spies).
Juggernaut tells the story of Saxon Gamble (played by Kesy) who returns home after learning of his mother’s suicide. Knowing that his brother may have been involved, Gamble sets out to take his revenge. Production is expected to wrap in mid-June. Executive producers on the project are Ben Silverman, Dave Valleau and Rich Mento.
In Canada, the film will be distributed by LevelFILM, with L.A.-based 13 Films handling international sales.
The project was developed under the working title Wrecking Ball, and received funding through the Harold Greenberg Fund Script Development program in July 2014, as well as Creative BC and Telefilm Canada.
