Cameras roll on Letterkenny season two

Production is underway on six additional episodes of the Sudbury-shot comedy.

Production is underway in Sudbury, ON on season two of Crave TV original series Letterkenny.

The six 30-minute episodes are produced by New Metric Media in partnership with DHX Media and in association with Bell Media.

The comedy series was greenlit by Bell Media in March 2015, with the first season eventually debuting on Crave TV on Super Bowl Sunday in February.

New cast members for season two include Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp), Alex Spencer (The Expanse) and Stephen Huszar (Shadowhunters). They join the returning cast of Keeso, Nathan Dales, K Trevor Wilson, Michelle Mylett,  Tyler Johnston, Alexander De Jordy, Dylan Playfair and Andrew Herr

Letterkenny is based on the popular series of web shorts Letterkenny Problems. The series was created and co-written by Jared Keeso, who also stars in the lead role, and is executive produced, directed and co-written by Jacob Tierney. New Metric’s Patrick O’Sullivan and Mark Montefiore also serve as executive producers on the series.

The series was financed via the Canada Media Fund, OMDC tax credits and the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit and the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.
