Canadian actor Gabrielle Rose has been awarded the Ian Caddell Vancouver Film Critics Circle Award for Achievement, the organization announced Monday.

The award recognizes a British Columbian actor who has made a significant contribution to the province’s film industry. Over her career, Rose has amassed more than 150 film and television credits, including The Birdwatcher, The Devout, Continuum, Proof, Hector and the Search for Happiness and the Oscar-nominated The Sweet Hereafter.

Rose will be presented with the award at a gala ceremony to be held on Jan. 6, where the winners of VFCC’s Canadian awards will also be announced. The nominations were revealed last week, with Room and Sleeping Giant leading the pack with six nods each.

Room, however, has already taken home one prize from VFCC, which named Brie Larson Best Actress for her performance in the film when revealing the winners of its various international  film prizes Monday (Room is a Canada/Ireland coproduction).

Elsewhere, Spotlight was named best film, with Michael Fassbender winning the Best Actor prize for his work in Steve Jobs. The Best Foreign Language Film prize was given to The Assassin, while Amy won Best Documentary. VFCC named George Miller Best Director for Mad Max: Fury Road, while Alicia Vikander won Best Supporting Actress for Ex Machina with Mark Rylance winning Best Supporting Actor for Bridge of Spies.
