Muse Entertainment has teamed up with interactive company Tribal Nova and affiliated studio ODD1 to produce an online game based on The Mysteries of Alfred Hedgehog.

The game will target the six- to nine-year-old set, letting kids explore the series’ world and solve mysteries based on natural and scientific phenomena. It will include characters from the animated, English-language series, which is copro’ed by Muse and France’s Gaumont-Alphanim. It airs on TVO, TFO, Knowledge Network and France 5.

Tribal Nova last year landed $3 million from Quebec venture captial firms iNovia Capital and ID Capital to launch virtual worlds and services in new international markets. The Montreal shop has done online work aimed at preschoolers for CBC and PBS.

The game will also be available on the TVO Kids website at www.tvokids.com, with four additional in-game challenges to be added in the coming months, along with a complementary online component that will be playable on the Nintendo Wii. A French-language version of the game will be hosted by TVO’s French counterpart TFO.
