Thunderbird Films has acquired the worldwide sales rights to Jason James’ Entanglement.

The feature, which wrapped production in Vancouver last week, stars Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley) and Jess Weixler (The Good Wife.) The shoot lasted for about 20 days, with James’ Resonance Films and Goodbye Productions producing. James also served as producer on Entanglement, along with Amber Ripley of Goodbye Productions. Executive producers are Tom Gamble, Jhod Cardinal and Kirsten Smith.

The script of Entanglement was penned by Jason Filiatrault. The comedy/drama received financing from Telefilm Canada, Creative BC, Movie Central and The Movie Network, as well as support at the script stage from the NSI Script to Screen program and the Harold Greenberg Fund. Entanglement is expected to be completed by summer 2016.

James’ previous production credits include the Andrew Currie-directed feature The Steps and Cameron Labine’s Mountain Men, which was released theatrically in Canada in September.
