The Telus Fund has revealed the 15 projects to receive funding in its latest round.
The projects – which range from TV shows to apps and must be focused on health and wellness – were awarded an average of $250,000 each (with some as high as $400,000). TV projects are required to have a broadcaster attached to be eligible for the fund. Each of the projects will debut this fall or during winter 2016.
Among the projects set to air this fall are CBC’s 24 hour snapshot of the Canadian health service Keeping Canada Alive, BBCKids’ dance series Nico Can Dance! I Can Dance! and Doc Channel’s exploration of the health benefits of eating insects Bugs on the Menu.
The fund provides funding to between 10 and 20 submissions each year.

As well, the second season of Knowledge Network’s Emergency Room and 1000 jours pour la planète III, CBC’s Addiction: The Next Steps, TVA’s Défi Santé 5/30 and APTN’s multi-platform health and wellness show Working It Out Together all received funding coin.
The next deadline for submissions is Sept. 21, 2015.
