Lloyd Robertson, Gordon Pinsent, Catherine O’Hara and other celebs will see their names on slabs of pavement this summer as the newest inductees to Canada’s Walk of Fame.

Organizers have unveiled plans to add eight new names to the star-studded Toronto sidewalk which, for the first time, will include a newsman.

‘This is a tremendous honour and I am flattered to be the first member of the news media inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame,’ said Robertson, host of CTV’s evening news, in a statement. ‘I hope my induction opens the door for some of the other deserving members of the news media.’

Filmmaker Ivan Reitman, NHLer Johnny Bower, athlete/activist Rick Hansen, actress Jill Hennessey and the band Nickelback will also be added to the walk in a June 9 ceremony, to be hosted by Eugene Levy.
