LAS VEGAS — Manufacturer Anton/Bauer talks up its new Dionic HCX battery on the floor at NAB. (See all our NAB videos.)
The 2.4-pound unit comes with a motion sensor, says rep Kyle Dann. ‘So after two weeks of remaining stationary [it] will shut down, running any additional discharge that doesn’t occur naturally.
‘What this means is you can store the battery longer. If you’re a university you can put it away for a summer. You come back, shake the battery, it wakes up and away you go.’
