Bell Media has announced Erica Landrock and Jennifer Little will receive production apprenticeships as part of the media co’s Executive Producer Accelerator Lab.
The announcement, made from Banff World Media Festival, will see Little and Landrock each complete an eight to 10-month apprenticeship at a Canadian production company. The two were selected from seven participants who took part in a six-week broadcaster internship at Bell Media’s Toronto headquarters which began Feb. 2. The goal of the six-week internship was to expose the participants to the role and responsibilities of an executive producer.
For their respective apprenticeships, Landrock will join Force Four Entertainment in January 2016 and Little will join RTR Media in the fall.
Toronto’s Little (pictured top) has worked on shows that have appeared on numerous North American networks, including HGTV, Animal Planet, Discovery, Global and TLC, and brings with her 15 years of industry experience. She was also a producer on OLN’s The Liquidator, and has worked as a writer and director in unscripted television earlier in her career.
Erica Landrock (pictured bottom) hails from Vancouver and has more than a decade of experience in the entertainment industry, which includes founding her own production company, Landrock Entertainment. The prodco has produced titles such as Rise of the eSports Hero and Working People: A History of Labour in British Columbia.
The Bell Media Executive Producer Accelerator Lab is part of the $12.3 million Bell Media TV Skills and Film Development Initiative. The program is designed to further the careers of mid-level Canadian producers by providing immersive experiences within the national production industry.
