• Sandra Collins is joining the Canadian Television Fund, and starts on June 25 as its VP of corporate services and administration. Collins was previously at Alliance Atlantis Communications and the University of Western Ontario, and will be responsible for CTF finance, administration and human resources.
• Joan Lambur is leaving her five-year-old distribution and licensing company, Lambur & Associates, to join Lenz Entertainment (Nanalan’, Mr. Meaty) as president of on-screen entertainment. Lambur will continue to manage her L&A portfolio under the Lenz banner, looking to bring more animated content and adult lifestyle programming to the Toronto shop.
• Veteran insurance broker David Hamilton recently opened Focus Entertainment Insurance Brokers in Vancouver. The new company specializes in insurance coverage for producers of feature films, series, docs and commercials.
• Alexandra Szacka is the new Moscow correspondent for CBC/Radio-Canada, starting this fall.
• Eleanor Berglund has left her director of marketing position with Achilles Media to start her own communications agency, Pointcommunication Consulting Services, focusing on media solutions for small businesses.
