West coast storytellers were in the spotlight during the Pacific Screenwriting Program’s (PSP) 2025 Vancouver Scripted Summit on April 24.
The one-day event was hosted by the PSP at Simon Fraser University’s Segal Building in downtown Vancouver.
Highlights of the day included pitches from the 2025 Scripted Series Lab cohort, led by showrunner-in-residence Nelu Handa. Broadcast and streaming executives were in attendance from CBC, Bell Media, Lifetime Television, Netflix and Amazon MGM Studios.
“We had very positive feedback following this year’s event,” said PSP executive director Camilla Tibbs in a statement. “Although the sector is experiencing challenges, the Summit created a sense of optimism and possibility. The PSP is gratified to play a role stimulating new relationships and collaborations in the domestic scripted industry.”
