TVA Group’s MELS Studios and Postproduction (MELS) has appointed Aurée Lepage as its L.A. director of international business development.
Lepage, who starts in the new role April 1, will be working to enhance MELS’ international standing and bolster its relationships with studios.
“This appointment aims to further strengthen our presence in the international market and consolidate our reputation for excellence among major studios,” MELS president Patrick Jutras told Playback Daily. “The Quebec-Montreal hub offers undeniable advantages for foreign productions, and Aurée will be our ambassador to highlight this distinctive proposition to our global partners.”
Jutras also said that Lepage will be closely collaborating with Montreal-based Raphaël Rainville, director, business development. The two will work together to expand MELS’ international reach and accelerate foreign market growth. Lepage will report to Jutras.
Lepage has been promoting the Quebec industry in the U.S. as L.A. representative for the Quebec Film and Television Council since 2022.
She has close to 30 years of experience in the film industry working as an assistant director on films such as Denis Villeneuve’s Maelström, Martin Scorsese’s The Aviator and Roland Emmerich’s The Day After Tomorrow.
