CBC has renewed science-fiction anthology series Plan B for a third season one month after rolling out season two.
The 6 x 60-minute season is now in production in Montreal.
Plan B is an English-language adaptation of the Radio-Canada series, which is currently on its fourth season. Montreal-based KOTV produces both series.
In both versions of the series, an agency called Plan B allows people to travel back in time to change their past. However, going back to the past leads to unforeseen consequences. The second season of the English-language adaptation premiered on CBC Gem on Aug. 11.
The new season will star Carolina Bartczak (Painkiller), Arnold Pinnock (The Porter) and Ennis Esmer (Blindspot).
Bartczak stars as a Canadian morning TV host who tries to alter the past after the devastating loss of her daughter.
Jean-François Asselin, Celeste Parr and Louis Morissette are co-showrunners and executive producers, with Asselin and Parr co-penning the season. Asselin, who co-created the original Radio-Canada series, is co-directing alongside Marianne Farley.
Season three is produced by Marie-Claude Beaulieu for KOTV. Additional EPs are Louis-Philippe Drolet, Mélanie Viau and Jacques Drolet.
