Cineflix Rights has acquired the exclusive worldwide distribution rights to the Australian dark comedy series Sunny Nights.
The Stan original series stars Will Forte and D’Arcy Carden as siblings who move to Sydney to start a spray tan business, only to end up tangled in the city’s criminal underworld.
Sunny Nights is produced by Sydney’s Jungle Entertainment and U.S. management company and prodco Echo Lake Entertainment. It is created by writing duo Nick Keetch and Ty Freer with executive producer Trent O’Donnell serving as director.
Executive producers are Shay Spencer, Jason Burrows and Chloe Rickard for Jungle Entertainment; Doug Mankoff, Andrew Spaulding, Chris Davis and Amotz Zakai for Echo Lake Entertainment; James Durie and Tom Misselbrook for Cineflix Rights; Cailah Scobie and Amanda Duthie for Stan; as well as Myra Model, Forte and Carden.
Amuz Distribution
Amuz Distribution has inked a global distribution agreement with India’s GoQuest Media.
The full Amuz catalogue will be distributed by GoQuest in Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, Oceania and non-French-speaking African territories. Meanwhile, a select number of GoQuest titles will be repped by Amuz in Canada and the U.S.
Amuz titles include the comedy About Antoine, the dramedy Larry and the mystery series Valmont.
Farpoint Films
Farpoint Distribution, a division of Farpoint Films, has acquired the docuseries Nazis: Threads of Evil from fellow Winnipeg-based company Refuge 31 Films.
The 24-episode series will go into production in Winnipeg and other international locations this summer, and will include newly released archival footage to tell the stories of Nazi figures and their roles in the Second World War.
Super Channel has picked up the Canadian rights to the series as part of Farpoint’s ongoing output deal with the channel.
