Toronto’s Cutting Class Media is expanding its roster with the hire of Harriet Luke (pictured) as a partner and head of unscripted.
The role sees Luke lead the prodco and distributor’s unscripted development slate for the domestic and international markets. The company is already on the go on several projects across multiple genres, according to a statement from Luke.
Luke joins the company from Blue Ant Media, where she worked for more than five years as a development producer at its subsidiary Saloon Media, developing titles such as T+E’s Hotel Paranormal. Prior to Blue Ant, Luke led English development at Montreal-based Pixcom.
Cutting Class co-CEO Carly Sacks said in a statement that Luke’s “knowledge of the unscripted landscape, as well as her network of industry connections makes her an invaluable asset.”
Cutting Class Media was launched in June by co-CEOs Sacks and Joshua Bowen, with Bracken Burns part of the executive team as partner and head of scripted. The company specializes in live-action and animation production and distribution.
