Global renews Family Law for fourth season

The legal drama is produced by Calgary’s SEVEN24 Films and Vancouver’s Lark Productions.

Global has given an early renewal decision to legal drama Family Law.

The 10 x 60-minute fourth season is scheduled to go into production in Vancouver this March.

Produced by SEVEN24 Films in Calgary and Vancouver’s Lark Productions, the series was created by Canadian author Susin Nielsen (Robson Arms, Cedar Cove), who also serves as executive producer and showrunner.

Family Law is executive produced by Jordy Randall, Tom Cox, Erin Haskett and Andy Mikita. Entertainment One distributes internationally.

Returning cast members for season four include Jewel Staite, Victor Garber, Zach Smadu, Genelle Williams and Lauren Holly.

The first two seasons are available on StackTV and the Global TV app. The timing for the release of season three will be announced later this year.

“As a top-20 hit for Global and the number-one Canadian scripted series last summer, currently airing on the CW in the U.S. and in many other markets internationally, this renewal today demonstrates the success of our original content at home and abroad,” said Troy Reeb, EVP, networks and content, in a statement.
