CBC’s Allegiance gets in gear for season two in B.C.

The Lark Productions series is scheduled to wrap Dec. 5.

Production has begun on the second season of the CBC police drama Allegiance in B.C.’s Lower Mainland.

The 10 x 60-minute series is created by Anar Ali (Transplant). Filming is scheduled to wrap Dec. 5.

The series is produced by Lark Productions in association with its minority shareholder Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group. NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution handles global sales.

Mark Ellis and Stephanie Morgenstern return as co-showrunners. The two are executive producers alongside Ali, Lark Productions’ Erin Haskett, Nicole Mandes, David Valleau, and Tex Antonucci and season two director, Nimisha Mukerji.

Season two will continue to follow Supinder Wraich (Sort Of) as a rookie police officer fighting to clear her father’s name. Enrico Colantoni (English Teacher) also returns. The new season welcomes Samer Salem (The Expanse) to the ensemble cast as a series regular.

Returning series regulars include Stephen Lobo, Adolyn H. Dar, David Cubitt, Crystal Balint, Toby Levins, Melanie Papalia and Andres Joseph.

Allegiance was CBC’s most-watched new series of the 2023-24 season, according to the pubcaster, citing data from Numeris.
