Circle Blue hires Michelle Aseltine as SVP of production

Aseltine reports to the company's CEO and founder Amos Adetuyi in the newly-created role.

Toronto-based Circle Blue Entertainment (CBE) has expanded its production operations with the of hiring Michelle Aseltine.

Aseltine assumed the newly-created role of SVP of production on Sept. 18 and reports to the company’s CEO and founder Amos Adetuyi. The hire was announced on Nov. 15.

Her central focus is to ensure efficiency in the production process for established and emerging projects, and work with CBE’s producing partner and showrunner Floyd Kane, founder of Freddie Films, according to a news release.

Aseltine comes to the company with feature film production experience in L.A., Toronto and the Cayman Islands, having worked with talent including the late Bob Saget, Ron Perlman and Nicolas Cage, said the release. Aseltine’s past roles include seven years as a producer at Blind Luck Pictures, as well as VFX producer at Toronto-based studio Monsters Aliens Robots Zombies.

Most recently, she served as production manager on Tim Brown’s The Retirement Plan and Joel David Moore’s Some Other Woman. As a VFX producer, she was involved in projects such as Gareth Edwards’ The Creator.

“With several years of TV and film production experience and a passion for crafting remarkable content, Michelle is set to lead our production team to new heights as she brings her expertise to the forefront,” said Adetuyi in a statement.
