Scott McGillivray’s MEM bolsters management team

The company has hired key operations and producing roles as it eyes growth opportunities in 2023.

Toronto-based prodco McGillivray Entertainment Media Inc. (MEM) has made several key management additions as the company prepares to expand in 2023.

The prodco, founded by Scott McGillivray, announced Tuesday (April 4) that it has hired Clare Brown as VP, finance; Chris Perez as executive producer, MEM; and Devin Mandeville as director of physical production.

All three report to COO Nanci MacLean, who joined MEM in spring 2022. The additions to the management team come as the company “ramps up for growth,” according to a news release.

As VP, finance, Brown is tasked with handling the company’s financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting as well as mergers and acquisitions. She holds several years of experience in media, broadcasting, and technology, with oversight of both corporate and operational finance teams.

Perez works across development and production for MEM series as an executive producer, and is tasked with developing “new content ideas and talent in support of the growth of the company,” said the release. The award-winning producer has worked in entertainment news, lifestyle, unscripted, live events, and award shows.

Mandeville is in charge of the company’s overall production operations strategy, bringing more than 25 years of experience in television production, including live sports and entertainment.

MEM president Angela Jennings said in a statement that “their combined decades of experience in a diverse array of genres will prove invaluable in continuing to position MEM as a trusted production leader.”

MEM is nominated for two CSA awards for its series Scott’s Vacation House Rules and Canada’s Got Talent.
