Fireworks Media Group is entering into a coproduction partnership with home renovation series creator Paul Taylor and his Lucky Stars Media in a bid to deepen Fireworks’ stake in the genre.
Taylor and Fireworks CEO Jesse Fawcett (pictured) have worked together before, creating and producing HGTV titles like No Demo Reno and Selling the Big Easy. New programming through this non-exclusive coproduction deal will be executive produced by Fawcett for Fireworks and Taylor for Lucky Stars.
The new collaboration adds to Fireworks’ slate of home renovation content, which includes the Pamela Anderson–starring Pamela’s Garden of Eden on HGTV Canada and Hulu. Fireworks founder Fawcett’s other credits in the genre include Flip n’ Move and the long-running Restored for Discovery+.
Launched in 2021 with offices in Vancouver and L.A., Fireworks produces titles across various non-fiction genres in both the U.S. and Canada, with credits including Big Timber for History Canada and Netflix and the upcoming Small Town Potential for HGTV. Taylor’s Lucky Stars, meanwhile, has developed such titles as HGTV’s Home Town, Off the Grid On the Beach and Mom and Me.
“Our company has been gaining strong momentum in our nascent year because we’re aligning with the best and most innovative storytellers in their fields,” said Fawcett in a news release. “This is epitomized by our relationship with Paul, who has a unique ability to locate talent and create knockout formats around them.”
Taylor added that the companies “share a collective vision to discover, incubate and develop talent who bring fresh and distinct perspectives to the home genre.”
