Hot Sheet: Stranger Things, Game of Thrones maintain demand leads

Netflix's Stranger Things returned to the top of the digital originals chart while Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon stayed at No. 1 and 2, respectively, overall for the week of Sept. 19 to 25.

Netflix’s Stranger Things returned to No. 1 on the digital demand chart after being dethroned from the top of the digital originals list the previous week, while Game of Thrones holds onto its lead in overall TV demand.

The hit 80s-set sci-fi series rose to No. 3 on the overall TV demand chart for the week of Sept. 19 to 25, according to Parrot Analytics, with a rating of 30.2 – a slight increase from the previous week’s 28.

Meanwhile, HBO’s Game of Thrones remained at No. 1 on the overall TV demand chart for the week, with a rating of 36.9 – a slight decrease from the previous week’s 37.7. Its prequel series, House of the Dragon (pictured), also maintained its No. 2 spot on the chart, and was 32.6 times more in demand for the week – a slightly lower figure than the previous week’s 32.7.

Another Netflix series, Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, landed on both the top 10 digital originals chart and overall TV demand list in its debut week.

The 10-episode limited series starring Evan Peters, Richard Jenkins, and Molly Ringwald came in at No. 3 on the top 10 digital originals chart and No. 7 on the overall TV demand list for the week.

Hulu original The Handmaid’s Tale came in at No. 2 on the digital demand list, with a rating of 28.1 – a higher number than the previous week’s 25.7. The series, based on Canadian author Margaret Atwood’s novel of the same name, ranked fourth on the overall TV demand chart.

The other series that made the top five of the digital originals list are: Netflix’s Cobra Kai (22.5) at No. 4, which also appeared on the overall TV chart at No. 9; and Netflix’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (21.2) at No. 5.

AMC’s Breaking Bad rose to No. 5 on the chart, with a rating of 26.3 – a slight increase from the previous week’s rating of 26.1.
