Canadian viewers flocked to HBO’s House of the Dragon season premiere, launching it to the top five of the overall TV demand chart in its first week.

The prequel series (pictured) to Game of Thrones starring Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, and Rhys Ifans was 30.4 times more in demand than the average TV series in Canada for the week of Aug. 22 to 28, according to Parrot Analytics. House of the Dragon, which had its season premiere on Aug. 21, ranked at No. 4 on the overall TV list for the period.

Meanwhile, HBO’s Game of Thrones dethroned Netflix’s Stranger Things on the overall TV list after 15 weeks of the latter topping the chart. The fantasy drama came in at No. 1 for the week and was 39.3 times more in demand – a jump from the previous week’s 28.4 rating – while Stranger Things sat at No. 2.

However, Stranger Things still maintained its No. 1 spot on the digital demand chart for the period with its lowest season four rating yet of 38.9. That number is significantly lower than the previous week’s 71.3.

Rounding out the top five of the digital list are Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building (26.2) at No. 2, Disney+’s She-Hulk: Attorney At Law (23.3) at No. 3, Hulu and Disney+’s The Orville: New Horizons (20.6) at No. 4, and Prime Video’s The Boys (19.4) at No. 5.

AMC’s Better Call Saul landed at No. 3 on the overall TV list, while its Breaking Bad ranked at No. 5.
