Sci-fi anthology Plan B and season three of mystery thriller Departure are among the scripted titles leading European distributor Red Arrow Studios International’s MIPTV slate.
Produced by Montreal’s KOTV for Radio-Canada, Plan B (18 x 60 minutes; pictured) is a psychological drama anthology that follows employees of a mysterious agency known as Plan B that is capable of sending them to the past. Season one originally premiered on Series+ in 2017 before moving to Radio-Canada for an additional two seasons.
Red Arrow will bring all three seasons of the drama to MIPTV, which will run from April 2 to 4 in Cannes, France.
The distributor has also added season three of Shaftesbury’s conspiracy drama Departure (6 x 60 minutes). The third season was shot in Newfoundland with Pope Productions joining as a coproducer. Eric McCormack joined the season three cast, with Archie Panjabi and Kris Holden-Ried among the returning cast members. The series is produced in association with Corus Entertainment, Starlings Television and Red Arrow Studios International.
Season one of Departure aired on Canadian network Global in 2020. While season two has been released to audiences in the U.K. and the U.S., Global has not yet set a broadcast date.
Last November, Red Arrow Studios sold its stake in U.S. film distributor Gravitas Ventures to Toronto-based media company Anthem Sports & Entertainment. Gravitas, which distributes independent narrative films and documentaries to international digital platforms, had been part of Red Arrow Studios since November 2017.
