Beyond Rights, a U.K.-based distribution company, has sold more than 650 hours of unscripted Canadian and international titles to broadcasters in North America.
Blue Ant Media has acquired nearly 200 hours of content for its FAST channels Haunt TV and Crimetime. Among the titles are World’s Scariest Hauntings (10 x 60 minutes) from U.K. prodco Woodcut Media; Confessions of a Serial Killer (18 x 60 minutes) from Monster Films; Murder, Lies and Alibis (5 x 60 minutes) from Australia’s Nine Network; and Encounters with Evil (10 x 60 minutes) and The Real Narcos (3 x 60 minutes; pictured) from ITN Productions.
The Toronto-based company has also inked separate deals for a number of titles for its Cottage Life channel, including All for One with Debbie Travis (6 x 30 minutes) and Building La Dolce Vita, produced by Montreal’s WAM Media, and Moving the McGillivrays (7 x 60 minutes) from McGillivray Entertainment Media.
Other international titles acquired by Blue Ant include Massive Engineering Mistakes (10 x 60 minutes; BriteSpark Films); Abandoned Engineering (42 x 60 minutes; Like A Shot Entertainment); Love It Or List It: Brilliant Builds (12 x 60 minutes), Love It Or List It UK (42 x 60 minutes) from Raise the Roof Productions; and Love It Or List It Australia (43 x 60 minutes; Beyond Productions).
The Weather Channel in the U.S. has acquired season 10 of Highway Thru Hell (18 x 60 minutes) and season six of Heavy Rescue (13 x 60 minutes), which are both produced by Thunderbird Entertainment’s factual division Great Pacific Media, as well as Lords of the Ocean (13 x 60 minutes) from Halifax’s Arcadia Entertainment.
Rounding out the deals are docuseries Elizabeth (8 x 60 minutes; ITN Productions) for Smithsonian Channel in the U.S.; Aussie Snake Wranglers (16 x 30 minutes; Breakout Productions), Saved and Remade (15 x 60 minutes; Red Sky Productions) and season four of Money for Nothing (30 x 60 minutes; Friel Kean Films) for U.S. streamer EarthxTV; and Gym Stars (20 x 30 minutes; Drummer TV) for BYUtv.
