Otter Dynasty gets the greenlight at Love Nature

Blue Ant-owned, Singapore-based Beach House Pictures is producing the wildlife series, set to launch in November 2022.

Blue Ant Media and Smithsonian Networks’s joint venture Love Nature has commissioned Otter Dynasty, a 6 x 60-minute series about three otter families in Singapore.

Produced by Blue Ant-owned Beach House Pictures, in association with Love Nature and Discovery’s Animal Planet, the series is scheduled to launch on Love Nature’s linear and streaming platforms in November 2022.

Outside the U.S., Blue Ant International is handling global sales.

Otter Dynasty follows three families of otters as they battle to survive and thrive in Sinapore. The three families featured in the show are the ruling Bay City family, which resides in the Marina Bay; the up-and-coming River Rebels, who have set their sights set on one day living in Marina Bay; and The Wildlings, a young family living in the Mangrove forest.

Jocelyn Little and Donovan Chan are executive producers for Beach House Pictures, with Jerry Decker serving as showrunner and Claire Clements as series director. James Manfull is executive producer for Love Nature. Keith Hoffman is exec producer for Discovery and Sarah Russell is supervising producer.

Other recent greenlights from Love Nature include After the Wildfires (Northern Pictures), a coproduction from ABC, CBC and Blue Ant International, and 90-minute doc A Bee’s Diary, produced by Germany’s Taglicht Media in association with CBC and WDR Germany.
