Lauren Davis steps into Telefilm national director role on interim basis

Davis, who currently serves as regional feature film executive for the Western region, temporarily steps into the role following Stephanie Azam's departure last week.

Lauren Davis will temporarily step into the role of national director for Telefilm following the departure of long-time exec Stephanie Azam last week.

Davis, who currently serves as regional feature film executive for the Western region, assumes the position effective immediately.

The film funder said it will commence a recruitment process for a full-time replacement as soon as possible.

“Lauren’s breadth of experience within our industry and Telefilm makes her the perfect choice to ensure smooth sailing for the few weeks ahead of us as we are closing the fiscal and launching our new selective process in production,” said a Telefilm spokesperson.

Azam, who was Telefilm’s national feature film executive for the English-language market, departed on March 1 after 13 years with the organization.
