The cohabitation represents the return of a physical office in Halifax for Telefilm.

The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) and Telefilm Canada celebrated the inauguration of their shared offices in downtown Halifax on Wednesday (Nov. 13).

The organizations have been sharing the offices since Nov. 4. Previously, the offices were solely occupied by NFB’s production team. The decision to cohabitate was made to promote synergy between the two organizations and to ease access for Atlantic filmmakers, partners and producers, who will be able to meet with both agencies in the same building.

The cohabitation also marks Telefilm’s physical return to Halifax as the organization’s previous office closed for relocation last August. In September, Telefilm launched its three-year Atlantic strategy which is tailored to support the specific needs of the East Coast film industry and the first in a series of region-specific plans.
