Gusto Worldwide Media has hired Carrie Gillis as its VP and general manager.
The newly created position will have Gillis oversee the operations, sales and marketing of the company’s Ottawa studio and master control facility. She will begin the role on March 1.
Gillis has more than a decade of experience in the Canadian media industry, beginning in content distribution for CBC International Sales before working for publishers such as Torstar, Brunico Communications and St. Joseph Communications.
Last month, Gusto hired Keren Jackman as a senior producer, working with CEO and president Chris Knight on content for its international channels. Jackman has previously produced and directed content for CBC, Discovery, National Geographic, Discovery and A&E.
Gusto recently launched its linear channel and VOD service GustoTV on Australia’s 7plus streaming service, run by Seven Network. GustoTV also launched on Roku in the U.S. in November 2020.
The company has most recently wrapped production on its series CombiNATION Plates and One BIG Recipe, as well as a new holiday special.
