Schitt’s Creek was also the most-watched show on CBC Gem for the week of April 5 to 11, with the finale and special ranking first and second, respectively, and another five episodes cracking the top 10. It also landed in the number two spot on Parrot Analytics’ overall top digital demand list for the week of April 7 to 13.
In the U.S. the series finale pulled in a total average audience of 1.3 million viewers between Pop TV, Comedy Central and Logo, which all simultaneously aired the episode. Of the three channels, Pop TV pulled in the most viewers with 501,000.
Co-created by Daniel and Eugene Levy, and produced under their Not a Real Company Productions banner in association with CBC and Pop TV, Schitt’s Creek has gained mammoth popularity worldwide. Along with four Emmy nominations in 2019, the series broke a Canadian Screen Awards record with 26 nominations for its penultimate season.
