On July 2, Women in Film & Television Vancouver (WIFTV) held its 20th annual Spotlight Awards Gala, bringing together the B.C. community to celebrate the achievements of those in screen-based media. Some of these year’s winners included Doreen Manual, who walked away with the Teamsters Local 155 Woman of the Year Award; documentary filmmaker Julia Ivanova, who was awarded the DGC-BC Artistic Achievement prize; Creative BC’s Robert Wong, recipient of the IATSE Honoured Friend Award; and duo Meeshelle Neal and Jax Smith, who picked up the gala’s Matrix Production Image Award. Click through to see a selection of photos of the award winners.
