Pittsburgh-based Fred Rogers Productions and its worldwide licensing agent 9 Story Brands have inked a number of new licensing partners for Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood. New products from ASO (bandages and first aid products), Cra-Z-Art (crafts and activities), Handcraft (underwear) and York Wallcoverings (wall decals) will begin rolling out spring 2019 in the U.S.
A number of existing partnerships have also been renewed for the preschool property including Jakks Pacific (dolls, figures, playsets, plush, role play and accessories), CPS (apparel), Church & Dwight (oral care) and Party City Holdings (party decorations).
Earlier this year, Fred Rogers Productions and 9 Story Brands inked a raft of agreements for Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood with licensees Amloid Corp (construction sets), Babiators (sunglasses), Bioworld Merchandising (backpacks, lunch kits and luggage), BRC Toys (ride-ons), Chouette Publishing, Crayola (mess-free drawing pad), Esquire Footwear (footwear), Kahootz Toys (activity sets), Sun-Staches (sunglasses) and Townley (bath products).
9 Story Brands launched in May, and is the dedicated consumer products division of Toronto’s 9 Story Media Group. It combines the prodco’s licensing efforts with those from Out of the Blue Enterprises, which 9 Story Media Group acquired in January. Around the same time, The Fred Rogers Company rebranded to Fred Rogers Productions to better reflect its growth as a children’s media producer.
