Blue Ant Media’s Toronto-based animation studio Look Mom! Productions has teamed up with Brazilian production company Boutique Filmes on the treaty copro Great Hotel Rudini of Illusionism. 

The animated series (26 x 11 minutes) is written by Look Mom, with animation work to be completed in Brazil via Boutique and animation studio Birdo. The series is scheduled for delivery in 2020.

Aimed at ages eight to 11, the series is set in a largely empty hotel that was once a famed meeting spot for the world’s greatest illusionists. It follows Rudini, who inherited the hotel and tries to restore it to its former glory. No broadcast partners are currently attached to the series, which Blue Ant International will shop at MIPCOM.

Launched in 2017, Look Mom has produced Gary and His Demons, an adult-oriented animated series for Mondo Channel in the U.S. The animation studio is also in development on kids series, Toy Hunters (26 x 11 minutes) and Cloudface (26 x 11 minutes).
