Toronto’s Amaze Film + Television has hired Natalie Urquhart as its new director of development.
In her new position Urquhart will oversee the prodco’s development in Canada, while working with its recently promoted SVP of television, Burrad Marsh.
Marsh, who previously served as a TV literary agent for ICM and as VP of development for Shed Media in the U.K., leads the prodco’s U.S. operations in Los Angeles.
Urquhart previously as an associate producer on the Toronto-shot series Suits (NBCUniversal) and the half-hour comedy pilot Rogue Bridal for Blue Ant’s Makeful. Rogue Bridal premiered on the specialty channel in April.
Amaze’s most recent TV series, Carter, created by Garry Campbell and starring Jerry O’Connell, premiered on Bravo in May. According to a release, the 10-episode mystery series premiered on the channel to 1.1 million viewers during its first week. Bell Media also recently announced the show will air on CTV this summer. Carter is also set to air on UKTV in June.
