CraveTV has commissioned a new original scripted comedy, New Eden, from creators and stars Evany Rosen (Picnicface) and Kayla Lorette (Space Riders).
The eight-part, half-hour comedy is produced by Peacock Alley Entertainment, in association with Bell Media’s CraveTV. Peacock Alley’s Carrie Mudd (Travelers) is executive producer. Rosen and Lorette serve as writers and showrunners.
The mockumentary-style comedy, which will film this fall in Ontario, follows two women who started the first all-female cult, which quickly devolves into drug-addled fiasco.
The series is the latest original to join the streamer’s lineup, which includes the recently released stand-up specials, as well as hit comedy, Letterkenny.
In addition, CraveTV announced it picked up SVOD rights from the L.A. screenings to a number of new series, including Deadly Class, God Friended Me, One Day She’ll Darken, The Red Line, The Rooki and Whiskey Cavalier. Season one of Vancouver-shot medical drama The Good Doctor will begin streaming on the service in August.
