Marie-Sylvie Lefebvre has joined Groupe V Media as its new director of acquisitions.
In the new role, Lefebvre will head up the media company’s acquisitions team, working with international distributors to coordinate partnerships for its conventional television network V, specialty channels MAX and MusiquePlus, plus noovo.ca.
Prior to joining Groupe V Media, Lefebvre provided consulting services to Montreal’s Encore TV and Datsit TV. Her previous experience includes serving as senior director, international distribution for L’Équipe Spectra, serving as senior director, content acquisition and programming for ICI Radio-Canada Télé and working as director, international sales and TV for TVA Films.
Earlier in May, Groupe V announced it had struck a deal with 20th Century Fox to give its Max subscribers access to FX’s entire portfolio in French. Groupe V also recently signed a deal with Radio-Canada to add its content to Radio-Canada’s digital platform ICI Tou.TV Extra.
