Blue Ant International has pre-sold NHNZ’s upcoming docu-soap Orangutan Jungle School (10 x 60 minutes) to the U.K.’s Channel 4.
Commissioned by Love Nature, Blue Ant’s joint venture with Smithsonian Networks, the docuseries follows a group of orphaned orangutans as they progress through a unique forest school system with the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOSF). The show is currently in production in Borneo.
Orangutan Jungle School is created, executive produced and written by Judith Curran. NHNZ’s Kyle Murdoch serves as executive in charge of production, while Anya Durling is head of development for the project. Blue Ant Media’s Anna Sand is an exec producer on the series.
The show is set to launch in the U.S. on digital streaming service Smithsonian Earth and on Love Nature’s linear and international streaming platform later this year.
Blue Ant Media acquired factual producer NHNZ through its purchase of international media company The Racat Group in May 2017.
