Burnaby, B.C.’s Bron Creative has lined up its next feature.
Bron’s Aaron L. Gilbert and Jason Cloth will exec produce The Good Liar, from New Line Cinema. Jack Morrissey (Beauty and the Beast) will also exec produce.
The Good Liar is an adaptation of Nicholas Searle’s debut novel and tells the story of a career con artist (played by Ian McKellen) who meets a well-to-do widow (Helen Mirren) and plans to swindle her out of her money, but starts to develop feeling for her. It will be directed and produced by Oscar-winner Bill Condon (Beauty and the Beast).
This is the first collaboration between New Line and Bron Creative, the joint venture between Vancouver-based Bron Media Group and Markham, ON-based Creative Wealth Media.
Mr. Holmes‘ Jeffrey Hatcher penned the screenplay and Greg Yolen (Mr. Holmes) will serve as a producer on the project.
Bron Creative’s previous credits include Fences and Roman J. Israel Esq. The company is also currently in production on Tom Hanks’ Greyhound.
