Heidi Schorn moves to Alibi Entertainment

The former eOne exec is joining Toronto-based Alibi as director of development.

heidi schorn Former Entertainment One executive Heidi Schorn has joined Toronto-based Alibi Entertainment as director of development.

In her new position, Schorn (pictured) will lead Alibi’s factual content team and reports into executive producer of development Nick Crowe, who joined from Shaw Media in July 2015.

Most recently, Schorn served as director of development at eOne and, before that, was director of development at Vancouver-headquartered Paperny Entertainment.

Schorn’s production credits include format adaptations such as CBC’s This Is High School and original copros as Food Network’s Food Truck Face Off.

“Heidi has a keen sense of story and a wealth of experience developing and creating compelling content,” said Alibi Entertainment president and executive producer James Hyslop in a statement. “Combining those skills with her outstanding relationships with Canadian and international broadcasters are critical for growth in an increasingly competitive landscape.”
