Following her departure from Mongrel Media in June, Charlotte Mickie has landed her next gig.
The veteran sales and distribution executive has taken a new role as VP of Paris-based distribution outfit Celluloid Dreams, a company she worked for more than a decade ago. The move reunites Mickie with Celluloid Dreams founder and president, Hengameh Panahi. Mickie will be based in Toronto.
Mickie’s first acquisition since rejoining Celluloid Dreams is the Australian crime thriller 1%, which is set to make its world premiere in the Discovery program at TIFF ’17. The Paris company is handling international rights on the feature and will launch global sales at the festival.
Prior to joining Mongrel International, the distribution arm she helped launch in 2014, Mickie served as the EVP at eOne Films International. She initially joined eOne when it acquired Maximum Films, where Mickie had served as managing director. She also served a sales exec at Alliance Atlantis Communications before leaving for her first stint at Celluloid Dreams in 2004.
