Quebecor Content has promoted Yann Paquet to the role of VP, acquisitions and international development.

In the position, Paquet, who has led Quebecor’s content acquisitions team since 2013, is adding international development to his plate. His new responsibilities include working with the company’s international partners to develop new kinds of deals to export Quebecor’s content and formats globally.

The role was previously held by André Provencher, who departed the company in November after Quebecor Content eliminated some of its positions.

Before joining the media co, Paquet was the VP of multiplatform content at Videotron. He has also previously held the roles of VP, digital media and strategic partnerships at Reader’s Digest Canada, senior director of new media at CBC/Radio-Canada.
