Watch out demons of the greater Calgary area, Wynonna Earp is back in town.

Production is currently underway on season two of the supernatural western, from Calgary’s Seven24 Films, which follows the gun-slinging heir of Wyatt Earp as she battles her great great grandfather’s old West enemies.

The 12-episode second season will shoot in the Calgary area until mid-April, Seven24 managing director Tom Cox told Playback Daily.

The series was renewed by U.S. net Syfy in July. In Canada, season two of the series will return to Ontario indie station CHCH, which also aired the first season.

Wynonna Earp is executive produced by showrunner Emily Andras and based on the IDW Publishing comic book series created by Beau Smith. The series is produced by Seven24 Films and distributed internationally by IDW Entertainment. Seven24’s Jordy Randall and Tom Cox also serve as executive producers on the series, alongside producer Brian Dennis.
