Last week, it was announced that Bissonnette was leaving the Montreal production company he co-founded to join Radio-Canada as senior vice-president of French Services. Bissonnette is set to take over for Louis Lalande who is retiring at the beginning of January.

In a release announcing his new role, Bissonnette said the opportunity to help lead the pubcaster was one of the most exciting challenges of his career.

Following the departure of Bissonnette, Zone3 has restructured into three major divisions: Production and Creative, Financial and Corporation.

Former vice-president, development and production at Zone3 Brigitte Lemonde has been named president of the newly created Creative and Production division. Lemonde will oversee the group’s production and creative activities in Quebec, across the genres it specializes in (including magazine shows, dramas and youth).

Luc Benoit, has been named president, Zone 3 – Financial. Benoit will lead the company’s production financing, administrative management, technical, legal and IT services, as well as rights management and distribution. Benoit previously served as CFO at Zone3.

Lastly, François-Charles Sirois has been appointed CEO of Zone 3 – Corporation. The goal of the division is to develop international projects and strategic partnerships to better raise Zone3’s profile outside of Quebec. Sirois also serves as president and CEO of Telesystem, which, together with Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, owns Zone3.

All three divisions will be overseen by Zone3’s board of directors.
