Bron Studios has lined up its next project in the form Parallel, the first feature film to be produced through the company’s genre-focused label, The Realm.
Set to begin production in Vancouver in mid-November, the sci-fi thriller is produced by Bron’s VP of development Garrick Dion, who also heads up The Realm, and Matthias Mellinghaus. Production is scheduled to wrap in mid-December.
Written by Scott Blaszak and directed by Isaac Ezban, the film tells the story of a group of friends who stumble upon a mirror that serves as a portal to another dimension. Parellel is the debut English-language feature from Ezban, who has previously directed Spanish-language features The Incident and The Similars.
Parallel is produced by Bron in association with financier Creative Wealth Media and stars Martin Wallstrom (Mr. Robot), Aml Ameen (The Maze Runner), Georgia King (Vice Principals), Mark O’Brien (Halt and Catch Fire) and Alyssa Diaz (Red Dawn).
Executive producers on the project are Bron CEO Aaron L. Gilbert, Creative Wealth’s Jason Cloth, Andy Pollack and Paul Tennyson, as well as John Zaozirny.
William Morris Endeavor Global is representing the rights for Parallel.
