Global original Mary Kills People has been picked up by Lifetime in the U.S.

The 6 x 60-minute series, which was created by Tara Armstrong and executive produced by Tassie Cameron, will premiere on the channel in 2017 and be paired with season three of Lifetime’s UnREAL.

Mary Kills People is produced by eOne and Cameron Pictures, in association with Corus Entertainment. It will bow in Canada on Global in early 2017.

Mary Kills People stars Caroline Dhavernas (Hannibal) as an ER doctor who spends her downtime helping people in need end their lives. The series also stars Jay Ryan (Top of the Lake), Richard Short (Vinyl), Lyriq Bent (Book of Negroes), Greg Bryk (Bitten), Abigail Winters (Between) and Charlotte Sullivan (Rookie Blue).  In July, it was announced that co-executive producer Holly Dale would direct the entire series order, which shot throughout the summer in Toronto.

The series is executive produced by Tassie Cameron, Amy Cameron, Jocelyn Hamilton and Tecca Crosby. Armstrong also serves as a co-executive producer and writer. Additional writers on the series include Marsha Greene, Sherry White and Mike Goldbach.
