Tricon Films & Television has announced the sale of more than 100 hours of content from its documentary, scripted and lifestyle slate.
The Toronto-based company has sold titles to broadcasters in Canada, Australia, Vietnam and Latin America, and announced a number of sales for in-flight distribution.
In Canada, Bell Media acquired 6 x 30-minute drama Submission, as well as the new seasons of Comedy Bang! Bang! (20 x 30 minutes) and comedy series Maron (13 x 30 minutes).
In Australia, Foxtel Australia acquired Independence USA (16 x 30 minutes, and 2 x 60 minutes), The Restorers (5 x 60 minutes), Inocente (1 x 40 minutes), Muscle Car (13 x 30 minutes) and Reelside (6 x 30 minutes). As well, NITV Australia acquired We Ain’t Terrorists (1 x 60 minutes), in addition to drama Hard Rock Medical (21 x 30 minutes), which was also picked up by ZNS Latin America/Bahamas. The Latin American broadcaster also took the rights to comedy series InSecurity (23 x 30 minutes).
Thaole Vietnam acquired 10 titles from the Tricon slate, including Farmed & Dangerous (4 x 30 minutes) and Hard Rock Medical (21 x 30 minutes), and eight feature films including Mischief on Wheels (1 x 100 minutes), Miss in Her Teens (1 x 70 minutes), Risk Factor (1 x 95 minutes) and September Runs Red (1 x 90 minutes).
In addition, Tricon made a number of in-flight sales. GEE picked up lifestyle series Breakneck Builds (3 x 30 minutes) and Sugar Showdown (3 x 30 minutes) for Westjet Inflight Canada, as well as Born to Run (1 x 60 minutes) for Ciba Inflight Africa.
