Toronto-based studio Big Coat Productions has appointed Christine Diakos as head of production, effective July 18.

In her new role, Diakos will be responsible for leading the company’s strategic growth objectives with oversight on all productions, including the Love It or List It franchise and its recent addition, Love It or List It Vacation Homes.

She will be based out of the company’s Toronto offices, reporting to executive producers Maria Armstrong and Catherine Fogarty.

With additional offices in Vancouver and North Carolina, the indie’s production stable also includes Ghosts in My Home, Animal Magnetism, Chef Worthy, Paranormal Home Inspectors and My Parents’ House.

Most recently, Diakos served as a senior producer at Bristow Global Media. Prior to that, she held a three-year stint as executive in charge of production for lifestyle at Shaw Communications. She has also held several titles at CBC,  CTV, Corus Entertainment-owned net Slice, and prodcos such as Frantic Films, Paperny Films and Lenz Entertainment.
